INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PREPARATI O N:
Remove the DLC3 cover.
(a)
Connect a TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.
(b)
Turn the ignition switch ON and TOYOTA hand-held tes-

CHECK:
ter main switch ON.
Shift lever into the P, R, N, D, 2 and L positions, and read the
NSW. REVERSE. 2ND DRIVE and LOW signals on the TOYO·
OK:
TA hand-held tester.

Turn the ignition switch ON.
Measure voltage between terminals
and body ground when the shift lever is shifted to the following
