INSPECTION
INSPECT BRAKE LINE PIPES AND HOSES
1 .
HINT:
Check in a well l i ghted area. Check the entire circumference
and length of the brake hoses using a mirror as required. Turn
the front wheels ful l y right or left before checking the front brake.
(a) Check al l brake lines and hoses for:
Damage
•
Wear
•
Deformation
•
Cracks
•
Corrosi o n
•
Leaks
•
Bends
•
Twi s ts
(b) Check al l clamps for tightness and connections for l e ak­
age.
(c) Check that the hoses and lines are clear of sharp edges,
moving parts and the exhaust system.
(d) Check that the lines install e d in grommets pass through
the center of the grommets.
