Important: If vehicle is equipped with a power
steering cooler (V8 only), outlet hose (3) and cooler
hose (if replacing) must be removed from the
power steering cooler (1) as the cooler is installed in
the outlet hose (return back to reservoir).
8. Remove outlet hose from reservoir (V8 with cooler
shown, remote-mount reservoir on V6).
Installation Procedure
Important: Inlet and outlet hoses must be oriented so
as adequate clearance is maintained between both
hoses and surrounding components to prevent chafing.
Use minimum clearance of 12 mm (0.47 in). The
outlet hose (3) must not be twisted during installation.
Do not bend or distort inlet and outlet hoses to
make installation easier. Failure to follow these
procedures could result in component damage.
1. Install outlet hose to reservoir (V8 with cooler
shown, remote-mount reservoir on V6). (Pump
mounted on V8, body mounted on V6)
