Add Packet Bus Support

If packet bus support is not already installed, see
perform the steps.

Add Circuit Packs

Determine port assignment of circuit packs to be added.

Install the appropriate circuit packs in assigned carrier slot (as required).
EXAMPLE:
The TN744E Call Classifier circuit pack is required for those customers who want greater call
classification capabilities than the TN2182 (Tone-Clock) circuit pack provides.
A vacant port is required on a TN556D ISDN—BRI circuit pack.

Install Cables

Install cables from TN464GP to the MDF as required.

Enter Added Translations

Administer the required translation data using the forms listed under "Adjunct/Switch
Applications Interface (ASAI)" in Administrator's Guide for Avaya Communication Manager.

Resolve Alarms

Examine the alarm log. Resolve any alarms that may exist using Maintenance for Avaya
DEFINITY Server CSI.

Save Translations

1
Type save translation and press Enter. This instructs the system to take all translation
information in memory and write it to the translation cards.

Update backup translation cards, if required.
