DEFINITY AUDIX Power Procedures
Power Down the AUDIX System
A yellow caution sticker on the system's power unit notifies technicians to shut down the DEFINITY
AUDIX System prior to powering down the system.

Log into the AUDIX System as craft.

Type reset system shutdown and press Enter.

Press Enter again to start the shutdown process.

The
SHUTDOWN Completed
takes about 2 minutes.

You can now shut down the carrier or remove the AUDIX System for service.
CAUTION:
If leaving AUDIX System in the carrier, back it out about 2 in. (5 cm) to eliminate the
possibility of damage due to power surges.
Power Up the AUDIX System
•
If the AUDIX was removed from the cabinet:

Re-install the AUDIX and allow it to power up automatically.

Check for AUDIX System errors.
•
If the AUDIX remained in the cabinet but the cabinet was powered down:
1
Reseat the AUDIX

Power up the cabinet. The AUDIX reboots automatically.

Check for AUDIX System errors.
•
If the AUDIX remained in the cabinet and the cabinet was not powered down:
1
At the AUDIX console, hold the crtl key and enter cc.

Enter 5 at the prompt. In about 2 minutes, the AUDIX boots up.
3
When the system initialization is complete, log in as craft.
4
Check for AUDIX System errors.
