MG 1000B platform configuration overview
The MG 1000B can be configured on three hardware platforms:
• chassis and expander
• cabinet
• MG 1010
Each configuration requires a Gateway Controller and a Server. The Gateway Controller must be in
slot 0. The remaining slots can contain Server cards, analog line cards, analog trunk cards, digital
line cards, or digital trunk cards. For a summary of the allowable card slots, see

on page 41.
Each MG 1000B Core with a digital trunk card must have a clock controller.
