INSPECTION
WIPER/WASHER SWITCH
Use a circuit tester to check switch for each terminal-to-terminal
continuity referring to "COMBINATION METER" in this section.
WIPER MOTOR
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect wiper motor coupler.
2) Remove wiper motor assembly mounting bolt, and remove wip-
er motor assembly from wiper link.
INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedure for installation.
INSPECTION
1) As illustrated left, use a 12 V battery to connect its (+) terminal
to "a" terminal, and its (–) terminal to Black lead cord. If motor
rotates at a low revolution speed of 47 – 57 rpm, it is proper. As
for high speed check, connect battery (+) terminal to "b" termi-
nal, and its (–) terminal to Black lead cord. If motor rotates at a
high revolution speed of 70 – 84 rpm, it is proper.
2) Testing automatic stop action
Connect battery (+) terminal to motor "c" terminal, and (–) termi-
nal to Black lead cord, respectively. Use a jumper to short "d"
and "a" terminals to each other to check whether motor shaft
stops at a given position. This position must conform to start
position. Stop motor again and again with the jumper to confirm
that it stops at the same position.

REMOVAL
1) Disconnect battery (–) cable.
2) Remove front fender lining (LH).
3) Remove washer tank fitting screws.
4) Disconnect pump lead wires and hoses.
