INSTRUMENT PANEL
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2) Remove parking brake lever cover.
3) Remove console box front extension.
4) Remove console box and cigarette lighter coupler.
5) Disconnect wires and cables from heater and blower unit.
Refer to "HEATER AND VENTILATION" in Section 1A.
6) Remove steering column assembly. Refer to "AIR BAG
STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN" in Section 3C1.
7) Remove ECM.
8) Remove engine hood opener.
9) Remove front pillar trim.
10) Disconnect wires and couplers from instrument panel.
Refer to "AIR BAG SYSTEM" in Section 9J.
11) Remove body ground at floor center.
12) Remove instrument panel mounting screw and bolt.
13) Remove instrument panel.
