Ignition circuit temperature sensor, removing and installing
From Model 89
Engine type M 28. 41142 onwards
Removing
1. Remove air-filter housing complete. Unclip
the temperature sensor connector on the cy-
linder head and separate.
2. Remove rear engine guard. Remove tempe-
rature sensor with standard tool, e.g. Hazet
4550-l.

Installing
1. Join connection from above and clip in
2. Apply a film of Molykote HTP white paste to
the thread of the union nut
Tightening torques:
Union in cylinder head 20 Nm (15 ft. lb.)
Union nut for temperature sensor 10 Nm
(7.5
ft. lb.).
Note
Make sure that the tip of the sensor is not
bent when removing or installing the tempera-
ture sensor.
