Note When:
Removing Installing
Note number and thick-
ness for reassembly
Mark for reassembly
Withdraw with two
flat pliers
Lower layshaft on to
base of transmission
and withdraw with
Special Tools 9140
and 9148
Recalculate if necessary
Check for wear, install
with original gear
Oil sealing lip
Replace, oil lightly
Anti-twist lock toward
recess in case, hold
in place with blob
of grease on case.
