The TRIP command of a protection function that is not parameterized as AR initiation function leads to a 3-pole
final TRIP command. The 1-pole TRIP is only permitted if the affected phase can be identified. The time over-
current protection ground and sensitive ground fault protection functions cannot determine the faulty phase.
2-pole TRIP commands are allowed in 1PTrip-1PLO mode. Every fault that affects more than one phase
results in a TRIP of these phases. If a protection function on a second phase trips during a 1-pole AR dead time
which would also result in a 1-pole AR, the CLOSE commands for the two poles are combined. The longer dead
time of the two affected phases will be used.
If a 1-pole AR cycle was unsuccessful and the final TRIP is reached, this only affects the corresponding phase.
In this case, the 7SC80 does not force a 3-pole TRIP.
