The controller board controls the following functions:

4. LD Drive Board:
This is the laser diode drive circuit board.
5. HDD Unit (Option):
The HDD unit stores data for the following.
• Additional software fonts
• Collation
• Locked print
• Sample print
• Downloaded forms for form overlay
6. Memory DIMM (Resident: 256MB DRAM, Option: 128/256MB DRAM):
This increases printer processing memory, and is also used for collation and for soft fonts.
7. Operation Panel Board:
Controls the display panel, the LED, and the keypad.
8. IEEE1284 Interface (Option):
This is a parallel printer port.
9. USB 2.0:
Lets you connect the machine to a computer.
10. Bluetooth (Option):
Lets you connect the machine to a computer with a wireless connection.
11. IEEE802.11a/g or g wireless LAN (Option):
