config authen parameter attempt
Description
This command is used to configure the maximum attempts for users trying to login or promote the
privilege on console or Telnet applications. If the failure value is exceeded, connection or access
will be locked.
Format
config authen parameter attempt <int 1-255>
Parameters
<int 1-255> - Enter the amount of attempts for users trying to login or promote the privilege on
console or Telnet. The default value is 3.
Restrictions
Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example
To configure the maximum attempts for users trying to login or promote the privilege to be 9:
DGS-3620-28PC:admin#config authen parameter attempt 9
Command: config authen parameter attempt 9
Success.
DGS-3620-28PC:admin#
