Fuel system
The main fuel system components are mounted to a flange that is accommodated under the fuel tank.
Under the fuel tank are the fuel delivery and return hoses from the injectors and the drain/bleed hose.
The flange consists of a pump (1) and a filter (2) that can be replaced
Inside the flange is a thermistor (5) outputting fuel level and a pressure regulator.
The regulator is required to keep the pressure head constant on the injectors.
To quick-release fittings of the flange delivery (4) and return (3) hoses, are connected the hoses feeding fuel to the
throttle body injectors.
The operating principle for both types of fuel system is shown in the following diagram.
