Is the PCI slot power LED of the location recorded in "Step 1422-1" on page 141 on?
NO Go to "Step 1422-3".
YES Go to "Step 1422-7".

Disconnect any external cables from the adapter identified in "Step 1422-1" on page 141.

Remove the adapter identified in "Step 1422-1" on page 141.

Follow the procedure "Installing a New Hot-Pluggable PCI Adapter" on page 860 to add a new adapter at
the location recorded in "Step 1422-1" on page 141. The new adapter should be the same type as that
removed in "Step 1422-1" on page 141. Return to "Step 1422-6" after the new adapter is added.

NO Go to "Step 1422-7".
Go to "MAP 0410: Repair Checkout" in the RS/6000 and Eserver pSeries Diagnostic Information

for Multiple Bus Systems. This ends the procedure.
