Hot-Plug Steps for the SP Switch2 PCI Attachment Adapter

This procedure must be followed when doing hot-plug removal and replacements steps for the SP Switch2
PCI Attachment Adapter.
On the control workstation (CWS) or from the server node, do the following:
1. Quiesce all jobs running on the switch using the object node.
2. Type /usr/lpp/ssp/bin/Efence XX, where (XX = node_number). The node returns:
> plane 0: All nodes successfully fenced.
3. On object node, type: /usr/lpp/ssp/bin/Efence XX, where (XX = node_number). If in a dual-plane
environment, determine if css0 or css1.
The node returns:
> driver unconfig OK
> driver unloaded
4. Type: stopsrc -s hats.
The node returns:
> 0513-044 The hats subsystem was requested to stop.
5. Type: stopsrc -s hags. The node returns:
> 0513-044 The hags subsystem was requested to stop.
6. Type: /usr/lpp/ssp/css/css_cdn, This will kill the worm running on object node.
7. Type: /usr/lpp/ssp/css/ucfgcor -l css0 (or css1)
> Unconfiguring: csspd0
>ODM initialized
>ucfgcsspd: Returned major number: 33
>ucfgcsspd: Calling getminor()
>ucfgcsspd: minor number: 0
>ucfgcsspd: Calling sysconfig() to terminate Device
>ucfgcsspd: sysconfig: 16
>Error initializing Colony pseudo device driver errno = 4096
If the preceding error message is present, disregard it.
8. Invoke Hot Plug function on the object node:
a. Enter: /usr/lpp/ssp/css/cfgcor -l css0 (or css1). This command may take a few minutes to
complete.
b. Type: /usr/lpp/ssp/css/rc.switch
c. Type: startsrc -s hags
d. Type: startsrc -s hats
e. On the CWS, type: Eunfence XX (XX = node_number)
