2.6.1 Paper Size Control

PAPER FEED FROM PAPER CASSETTE

below indicates ON (1)/OFF (0) of the paper size switches corresponding to
the paper size in the PAPER CASSETTE.

2.6.2 ROS Control

TURNING OF SCANNER MOTOR
Turning ON/OFF of the Scanner Motor is controlled as described in
depending on the operation mode:

Scanner Motor turns ON upon receiving signal from Controller,

and turns OFF after a lapse of ten seconds counted from
completion of printing operation.

Turning ON/OFF of Scanner Motor
The following table indicates the Scanner Motor speeds corresponding to the
resolutions.

NOTE: A laser beam is scanned per plane (entire plane) of the Polygon Mirror.
WARM-UP OF ROS
As soon as the ROS starts warming up, the Scanner Motor starts running. When the
interval of the SOS signal sampled every 100ms is shorter than the Ready reference
value three consecutive times, the ROS ends warming up (the Scanner Motor runs at
constant speed.)

NOTE: Against runaway of Scanner Motor, [U2] is detected by "Fail" reference
value when laser beam does not enter SOS Sensor because of an increase
