NOTE: Router acceleration is supported only on the FastIron Backbone and TurboIron Backbone Layer 2
Switches.
You must reset the switch for the changes to become effective.
USING THE CLI
To enable IP router acceleration on a Foundry backbone Layer 2 Switch (Stackable):
FastIron(config)# ip-route-accelerating
FastIron(config)# end
FastIron# write memory
FastIron# reload
Syntax: ip-route-accelerating
To enable IPX router acceleration on a Foundry backbone Layer 2 Switch (Stackable):
FastIron(config)# ipx-route-accelerating
FastIron(config)# end
FastIron# write memory
FastIron# reload
Syntax: ipx-route-accelerating
USING THE WEB MANAGEMENT INTERFACE
You cannot enable or disable router acceleration using the Web management interface.
Displaying and Modifying System Parameter Default Settings
Foundry devices have default table sizes for the following parameters. The table sizes determine the maximum
number of entries the tables can hold. You can adjust individual table sizes to accommodate your configuration
needs.
