USING THE WEB MANAGEMENT INTERFACE
To initiate transfers of software images to and from a TFTP server from the Web management interface:
1.
Log on to the device using a valid user name and password for read-write access. The System configuration
dialog is displayed.
2.
Click on the plus sign next to Command in the tree view to expand the list of command options.
3.
Click on the plus sign next to TFTP under Command in the tree view to expand the list of TFTP options.
4.
Select the Image link to display the following panel.

Enter the address of the TFTP server in the TFTP Server IP field.
6.
Enter the image file name in the Image File Name field.
NOTE: The TFTP client on the Foundry device supports only 8.3 format file names (up to eight characters in
the name plus up to three characters in the extension). Make sure that if you rename the file on your TFTP
server, you give the file a name that conforms to these rules.
7.
Specify the origin or destination of the image code you are transferring by selecting Primary or Secondary
next to Flash.
8.
Click on one of the following buttons to start the file transfer:
Copy from Server – downloads the image file from the TFTP server into the flash area you specified.
Save to Server – uploads the image file from the flash area you specified onto the TFTP server.

Changing the Block Size for TFTP File Transfers

When you use TFTP to copy a file to or from a Foundry device, the device transfers the data in blocks of 8192
bytes by default. You can change the block size to one of the following if needed:
4096
2048
1024
512
256
128
64
32
16
To change the block size for TFTP file transfers to and from the Foundry device, use the following CLI method.
