NOTE: Some of the data entry fields contain zeros. When you save a VRRP definition, the software uses the
default values for the parameters instead of zeros. The Web management interface shows zeros instead of the
defaults because the defaults differ depending on whether you are creating an Owner or a Backup. The software
does not know which type of VRID entry you are creating until you select Add to add the entry.
Configuring Router1 Using the Web Management Interface
To configure VRRP Router1 in Figure 21.2 on page 21-3 after you enable VRRP:
1.
Log on to the device using a valid user name and password for read-write access. The System configuration
dialog is displayed.
2.
Click on the plus sign next to Configure in the tree view to expand the list of configuration options.
3.
Click on the plus sign next to VRRP in the tree view to expand the list of VRRP option links.
4.
Click on the Virtual Router link.
If the device does not have a VRRP virtual router configured, the VRRP configuration panel is displayed,
as shown in the following example.
If a VRRP virtual router is already configured and you are adding a new one, click on the Add Virtual
Router link to display the VRRP configuration panel, as shown in the following example.
If you are modifying an existing VRRP virtual router, click on the Modify button to the right of the row
describing the VRRP virtual router to display the VRRP configuration panel, as shown in the following
example.
