14.2.1.5 Software configuration

The UFM delivery set includes the "Recovery Tool CD" to setup the VMware
ESXi configuration. Proceed as follows:
Ê Switch on the server.
Ê Right after switching on the server, insert the "Recovery Tool CD" into the
DVD drive and close the drive tray.
Ê The server should now boot from the "Recovery Tool CD".
Ê Follow the on-screen instructions.

14.2.2 Removing the UFM board

Field Replaceable Units (FRU)
Average task duration: 5 minutes

14.2.2.1 Required tools

Preliminary and concluding steps:
– Phillips PH2 / (+) No. 2 screw driver
Removing the UFM:
– Phillips PH1 / (+) No. 1 screw driver
