This interface is a four-wire, balanced-voltage variant of RS-232. In
order to use this interface. To use this interface, it must be selected
from the Serial Type menu. The character frame, baud rate, and
protocol settings are accessible from the same Serial Setup menu as
the RS-232. See page 74 for instructions to modify these settings.
TheReady/Busy protocol must be busy-by-code, usually XON/XOFF,
which is enabled in the default state of the printer.
RS-422 Pin Assignment
The RS-422 interface shares the 25-pin, D connector with the RS-232
interface.

The polarity indicators A and B, are defined by the EIA specification.
A is negative with respect to B in the mark (logic 1) state of the
