INSTALLING OR REPLACING THE RIBBON CARTRIDGE

To install a ribbon cartridge in the printer, complete the following
steps:
11. Lift the top access door of the printer.
If the thickness of the paper will remain the same after the
ribbon cartridge is replaced, note the present setting of the print
gap wheel.
12. Turn the print gap wheel fully clockwise to the LOAD position.
See Figure 2-14.
13. Turn the knurled knob on the new ribbon cartridge clockwise to
remove any slack in the ribbon (Figure 2-19.)
14. If the new ribbon is equipped with a reinker, be sure to remove
the reinker pin before installing. See Figure 2-19.
