To maintain stability in the printer during shipping several brackets
are used to attach the print mechanisms to the frame. THESE MUST
BE REMOVED BEFORE THE PRINTER IS PUT INTO OPERATION!
Please follow the steps listed below to remove the brackets. (Save the
hardware items that are removed in the event the printer needs to be
shipped to another location in the future.)
1. On each side of the upper tractors is a block with several bolts
through it. Remove the front yellow bolt located next to the upper
tractor on each side (indicated as shaded in Figure 2-8).
2. Open the front cabinet door. A yellow plastic shipping bracket
along with a metal right angle piece is located between the print
mechanism and the cabinet frame. They are held in place with a
bolt starting from the underside of the cabinet frame. Remove the
bolt and shipping bracket. See Figure 2-9.
