    Setting the Printhead Gap The printhead gap is the distance between the printhead and the platen. Note: Make sure the printer is turned off before you open the access cover. To adjust the gap, open the access cover and move the blue lever (Ê) to the recommended setting from the table.
  • Page 15 0.017-inch (0.43 mm)—up to maximum of 0.031-inch (0.79 mm)—the expanded printhead gap feature needs to be engaged. This will expand the printer’s head gap settings for extra-thick forms and heavy card stock, and will increase the impact strength of the pins in the printhead.
