disable telnet

Disables Telnet services on the system.

Syntax Description

This command has no arguments or variables.

Usage Guidelines

You must be logged in as an administrator to enable or disable Telnet services. Disabling Telnet services

aborts any existing Telnet connection to the switch.

With administrator privilege, the following command disables Telnet services on the switch:

disable telnet

This command was first available in ExtremeWare 2.0.

This command was added to the Summit "e" series of switches in ExtremeWare 7.1e.

Platform Availability

This command is available on all platforms.
