Displays the link operating mode for a network interface.

ifModeShow ["interface"]

Description
Use this command to display the link operating mode for a network interface.
The network interfaces available on the system can be listed with the ifshow
command.
Note:
necessarily for all Ethernet network interfaces. For those interfaces in which this is not
supported, the output for the link mode is "Not applicable."
Operands
This command has the following operand:

The link operating mode is not changeable for all network interfaces and not
For V3.1.x, specify the name of the interface. The interface
value must be enclosed in quotation marks. The "interface"
argument is of the form <name><physical-unit>,
where <name> is the name of the network interface and
<physical-unit> is the instance of that interface, for
example, "fei0."
For V4.1.x, specify the name of the interface. You may
specify the name with quotation marks, but using them is
not required.
