3. Run the Firmware Update Utility through the Command-line Interface:

Invoke the utility by entering the command: fwpiaupd [HEX File Name]
[Options]

To view the command-line help, type: fwpiaupd /h or fwpiaupd /?

To update the boot block, the operational block, and the pia area of the firmware from the
command-line interface type fwpiaupd [HEX File Name] /u /b /p
-
To update the operational block only from the command-line interface type fwpiaupd
[HEX File Name] /op
-
To update the hot-swap controller from the command-line interface, type: fwpiaupd
/dirhsc /u /op /p name.hex
NOTES
A jumper at location J1B1 on the Intel
pins 1 and 2 to update the boot block. Cover pins two and three on this
jumper to write-protect the BMC boot block.
Check the release notes for the firmware release that you are trying to update.
It may require updating both boot code and operational code.
The utility also supports a command-line option to perform a direct update of
the HSC runtime firmware and configuration over the SMBUS interface. For
this, use the /dirhsc option with the utility. However, boot block updates are
not supported with the /dirhsc option using the command-line interface
utility.
4. Power down the system by pressing and holding the power button on the front control panel.
5. Disconnect the AC power cords from the system and wait 60 seconds.
6. Connect the AC power cords and power up the system by pressing the power button.
