Each power supply module has three status LEDs located next to the input connector, as shown in
Figure 7.
Location
Purpose
A (Top)
Power Good LED
(green)
B
Fault LED (amber)
(Center)
C
AC OK LED (green)
(Bottom)
NOTE
Proper system cooling requires that either two power supplies, or a single
power supply and a power supply filler panel that contains a cooling fan be
installed at all times.
Description
This green LED is driven by internal circuitry and is lit whenever the
power is turned on.
This amber LED is driven by internal circuitry and is lit when a power
rail has failed. The LED is lit even if the power supply is in a latched
state. The only time (during a fault) when it is not lit is if the +3.3VSB
is lost.
The LED is not lit when the power supply is turned off by powering
down the platform.
This green LED is driven by internal circuitry and is lit whenever the
AC power cord is plugged in to an active AC power source.
