9. Open the two socket levers on the processor core VRM converter socket and lift the VRM
converter to remove it.

Installing a VRM Converter

1. Visually verify that the connector of the VRM converter matches the connector type on the
main board.
2. Install the VRM converter on the main board by inserting the converter into the correct socket
and pressing down firmly. Be certain the VRM converter seats fully in its connector.
CAUTION
Do not exert excessive force if the VRM converter does not install easily.
Notches in the VRM converter's connector and corresponding barriers on the
main board's sockets prevent incorrect insertion. Forcing the wrong VRM
converter into a connector can damage the VRM converter or the connector.
3. Close the two levers to secure the converter.
4. Install the VRM baffle.
5. Install the memory board or memory board air baffles into Slots C and D. For instructions, see
