Installing a Power Supply or an Active Fan Blank

1. Remove the new power supply or the active fan blank from the protective packaging, and place
it on a clean ESD-protected work surface.
2. Record the model and serial numbers of the power supply in your equipment log. See
"Equipment Log", page 252.
3. With the handle on the power supply or active fan blank in the open position, slide the power
supply or active fan blank into the power supply bay until it stops.
4. Push the handle against the face of the power supply or active fan blank until it is securely held
in the power supply bay.
