6.2.1.4 Code Gray Messages
The following are common Code Gray Messages and their definitions. This is not a complete list, but is to made to give an
example of Code Gray screens.
Printer Message

6.3 Load Material Cartridges

Each Printer has an MDM (Material Delivery Module) that takes a 2.5kg (84.5 fl-oz.) cartridge of Figure 4 material. Please see the
section
Material Delivery Module (MDM)
to properly load a material cartridge into the MDM. Your 3D Systems Field-Service Engineer will have loaded your MDM upon
machine installation. After this, the machine will alert you when a cartridge is near empty, and then empty. You will use the
following procedure to replace any material cartridges that become empty.
Cartridge Handling Guidelines
Please use the following guidelines when handling Figure 4 Modular material cartridges:
1. Do not touch the cartridge chip, as it is sensitive to
electrostatic discharge.

This screen appears after either an operator abort or an
automatic abort.
Screens like this appear after a failure of some kind. It
requires immediate attention to prevent either damage to the
Printer or future builds. In this case, the aborted job must be
removed to prevent it from dropping into the resin tray. You
would also need to run a

must remove the failed build from the Printer immediately to
prevent potential damage to the unit and/or future print jobs.

the print queue.
Definition
Screens like this inform the printer operator that the Printer
is working on an action that cannot be interacted with. In this
example, the unit is either requesting a new IP address or is
searching for the IP address it has been assigned with DHCP
turned off.
Screens like this display certain information about the Printer.
In this example, it displays the IP address of the unit.
