Flashing red
1. Open lower printer door and remove
MDM front cover. Visually inspect
the MDM Material Pump to ensure
everything looks normal.
2. Did you recently replace the material
cartridge? If so, did you premix the
material for the appropriate time before
installing it in the machine? Failure to
do this could cause a denser material
mixture to go through the tubing,
which could cause the material pump
to stall. Perform a Material Changeover
procedure and discard the old MCO
kit. Use nitrile gloves to remove the
material cartridge, cap the cartridge on
both ends, and
the full mixing time prescribed in this
manual. Reinsert the cartridge into the
printer, mark the printer as ready, and
observe the material pumping to ensure
normal operation.
3. If items 1 and 2 do not fix the issue,
contact 3D Systems Service.
Flashes red Do not attempt to service the Z-axis
(elevator). Contact 3D Systems Service.
Flashing red Insert a new material cartridge of the same
material type.

If currently printing, you may allow the
print to finish; but know that low air
pressure can untension the resin tray and
lead to failed builds.
1. Check your shop air system to ensure
there are no leaks. 3D Systems does
not service shop air systems. It is the
responsibility of the customer to service
shop air.
2. If your shop air is functioning normally
and the problem persists, contact 3D
Systems Service.
Flashing yellow This error occurs when the cartridge is
empty, and there is enough material in the
resin tray to potentially perform another
build. Insert a new cartridge of the same
material or perform a material changeover.
Tap Print Anyway to do so.
