Digital Control Troubleshooting
Display Troubleshooting (A2, A18, A19, A27)
NOTE This procedure should be performed with a photometer and only by qualified
personnel.
1. Press

display intensity at 100%.
2. Press
SERVICE MENU

to set a white screen test pattern on the display.
3. Set the photometer probe to NORMAL. Turn on power to the photometer and allow
30 minutes of warm-up time. Zero the photometer according to the manufacturer's
instructions.
4. Center the photometer on the analyzer display as shown in
Figure 6-4 Backlight Intensity Check Setup
NOTE The intensity levels are read with a display bezel installed.
5. If the photometer registers less than 50 Nits, the display backlight lamp is bad. Refer to
Chapter 14 , "Assembly Replacement and Post-Repair Procedures,"
display lamp replacement.
