NOTE:
The 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports on the 8-port SFP+ line cards are the only ports that
you can configure as Virtual Chassis port (VCP) links between EX8200 member switches in an
EX8200 Virtual Chassis. You cannot configure ports on any other EX8200 line cards—including
the 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports on the 40-port SFP+ line cards—as VCPs. See Setting a 10-Gigabit
Ethernet Port as a Virtual Chassis Port in an EX8200 Virtual Chassis (CLI Procedure).

The line cards in EX8200 switches combine a Packet Forwarding Engine and Ethernet interfaces on a single
assembly. They are field-replaceable units (FRUs) that can be installed in the line card slots on the front
of the switch chassis. The line cards are hot-insertable and hot-removable: You can remove and replace
them without powering off the switch or disrupting switch functions. See
105.
