Figure 1: Sentry Control Panel showing Main Screen

The figure above shows the Sentry Control Panel displaying the initial screen, seen when the unit is first
turned on. The current time and date are displayed in the top right corner of the display screen.
The menus for the Display Panel are laid out in a tree format. The root of the menu system is displayed
on the second line of the screen. All actions that relate to a specific machine are located under the
"Machine" menu. Activities related to reporting are located under the "Reports" menu. The "Network"
menu contains all actions pertaining to multiple machines on the network. The "Display" menu allows
the operator to change features on the local display. All graph functions are located under the "Graph"
menu.
To maneuver through the menu structure, the operator moves the cursor (by means of the arrow keys) to
the desired node or menu heading and presses the "ENTER" key. This action will display a branch of the
menu structure. Pressing the "EXIT" key will abort the current screen.
At any point, the "ALARM" key may be pressed. This key is a "go to" key and will place the operator in
the alarm screen. Exiting from the alarm screen will return to the screen where the alarm key was
pressed. The "PRINT SCREEN" key may also be pressed at any time to print a copy of the screen
(called a screen dump) on an attached printer.
