The sensor is calibrated by
using a secondary
measurement device (such as a
mercury thermometer) to
measure the actual temperature
inside the machine. This
thermometer reading is then
typed into the appropriate field
in the box. Initially, the current
sensor readings are displayed
in the fields. After typing in
the number and pressing
"ENTER", the machine
automatically calculates the
new offsets. These values are
'locked in' until they are saved
to the machine in the next stop,
allowing temperature and humidity to be calibrated in the same step. Note: If the sensor's reading
changes while a thermometer reading is being typed in, it is possible that the new calibration will be out
by 0.1 degrees. Press "EXIT" to abort without changing offsets.
The operator may choose to
abort changing the offsets by
choosing 'Abort' or pressing
"EXIT". Selecting 'Send New
Offsets' using the "UP" and
"DOWN" arrow keys will
store the new offsets at the
machine, which will take effect
immediately.
NOTE: Since the offsets are
stored in the machine
controller, the sensors must be
recalibrated if the machine
controller's processor board
(PTA410) is replaced, or a
different sensor module is
connected to the machine.
