5.1 Select Status

The 'NETWORK' menu
contains functions that affect
one or more machines
connected to the network.
Some of these functions are
similar to the functions found
under the 'MACHINE' menu.
The 'Select Status' menu
allows a machine to be
disabled from the network, and
should be used before
powering a machine off for an
extended period of time. If a
machine is turned off without
disabling it from the network,
the master display will
continue to attempt to
communicate with that machine, resulting in communication alarms, which will slow down the network. If
several machines have communication alarms, network performance will degrade significantly, and may
even cause the network to become inoperable.
If password security is
enabled, the operator is
requested to enter the
password. An incorrect
password denies entrance to
the 'Select Status' function.
