The following tools are user supplied:
• 2 mm hex driver
• 5/16 in. wrenches
• 1/4 in. wrench
The gas-liquid separator can be installed on the 2-module or the 4-module Micro GC
Fusion. The gas-liquid separator is factory pre-assembled, and can be easily mounted
onto Micro GC Fusion during instrument installation.
CAUTION
The gas-liquid separator filters out liquid droplets in a gas sample. It is not
intended for liquid injections.
WARNING
Gas pressure on the gas-liquid separator sample vent may be up to 172 kPa
(25 psi). Extreme caution must be taken when venting the high pressure
sample to avoid personal injury.
To install the gas-liquid separator onto a 2-module Micro GC Fusion:
1
Press the On/Standby button once to shutdown Micro GC Fusion. This shutdown
procedure cools down the analytical columns before powering down and may
take 1 to 2 minutes.
2
Remove all electrical cables, including the power cable and the Ethernet cable.
3
Disconnect the sample gas connection(s), carrier gas connections and venting
connections.
4
Turn Micro GC Fusion onto its side.
