The ANALYTICAL vents are used to vent the exhaust from the GC module analytical
columns.
The REFERENCE vents are used to vent the exhaust from the GC module reference
columns.
The PUMP vent is used to vent the exhaust from the purge of the inlet and injection
assembly. In Backflush mode, the PUMP vent is also used to vent the backflushed
sample exhaust from the pre-column.
When the Integrated Sample Conditioner is installed, the HIGH PRESSURE PURGE
VENT will require a 1/8 in. Swagelok connector. The high pressure sample will be
regulated down to about 345 kPa (50 psi) by the Integrated Sample Conditioner and
then vented through the High Pressure Purge Vent connector.
WARNING
Gas pressure on the HIGH PRESSURE PURGE VENT may be up to 448 kPa
(65 psi) . Extreme caution must be taken to vent the high pressure sample to
avoid personal injury.
