Separator
The pressure reducer and gas-liquid separator (PN 952-033-G1) reduces sample
pressure and filters out liquid particulates in the sample. The maximum sample input
pressure is 3,450 kPa (500 psi). With a flow rate at or less than 100 mL/min, as
indicated on the flow gauge on the device, the output pressure from the device is
about ambient pressure.
The pressure reducer and gas-liquid separator is not compatible with the
integrated sample conditioner of the gas-liquid separator (PN 952-022-G1)
CAUTION
If the flow rate through the device exceeds 100 mL/min, the output pressure
from the device to Micro GC Fusion may exceed the acceptable pressure
range, causing instrument damage.
CAUTION
Blocking off the venting port during operation significantly increases the output
pressure from the device to Micro GC Fusion. When this happens, the Micro
GC Fusion connected to the device may be damaged if the incoming sample
pressure is greater than 172 kPa (25 psi).
WARNING
The pressure reducer and gas-liquid separator is rated for 3,450 kPa (500 psi)
input sample pressure.
Exceeding this pressure limit may result in component failure, with parts potentially
blowing off at high pressure.
WARNING
Safely vent carrier and sample streams - potentially toxic, noxious, asphyxiant
(oxygen displacing) or flammable gases - outside Micro GC Fusion and away
from the operating area. Vent toxic gases to a fume hood, chemical trap, or
reaction medium.
