ð Each GC module is secured by two captive screws (or four for newer
models). If only removing the upper module, use a Phillips head screwdriver
to loosen the uppermost two screws. The figure indicates screw positions for
both the upper and lower GC modules.

Use a 5/16 in. open end wrench to disconnect the sample line nut.
CAUTION
Sample gas and carrier gas must be properly disconnected before the module
removal to prevent instrument damage from pressurized gases.
WARNING
The sample inlet may be hot to the touch, use care when removing the sample
line nut.

Gently pull the GC module off the electrical connector no more than 2 cm (1 in.)
and then tilt the injector side outwards.
