10 Routine Operation

10.1 Shutdown Procedure

Press the On/Standby button once to shutdown Micro GC Fusion. This shutdown
procedure will cool down the analytical columns before powering down. If the
analytical column temperature is high upon shutdown, this procedure may take up to 1
to 2 minutes.
The front panel display will turn off when the instrument is in standby mode.
CAUTION
Bypassing the shutdown procedure and abruptly disconnecting the power
supply to Micro GC Fusion may result in instrument damage.
In the event the instrument is unresponsive, the recommended shutdown procedure
can be bypassed by pressing the On/Standby button for 3 or more seconds until the
front panel display turns off.
CAUTION
The instrument remains powered while in standby mode. Disconnect the
power supply to power off the instrument completely.
CAUTION
Pressing the On/Standby button twice in quick succession will force shutdown
of the instrument without cooling down the columns. This action can lead to
column performance degradation.
