Fibre Channel over
Ethernet I/O modules
Figure 13
Network I/O modules
A Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) I/O module in slot 0 of each blade provides
two ports for connecting to an FCoE switch
sometimes referred to as a converged network adaptor (CNA).
Note: FCoE is not supported in a direct-connected system.
The FCoE I/O module supports a fibre speed of up to 10 Gb/s.

Two-port Fibre Channel over Ethernet I/O module
The following I/O modules are available for network connectivity. The I/O modules
that provide network connectivity are sometimes referred to as host bust adaptors
(HBAs):

The remaining slots in the blade enclosure can contain a mix of I/O module types,
depending on site requirements. All blades in the VG2/VG8 system must contain the
same combination of I/O modules in the same slots.
