Connecting a CLARiiON CX300 or CX500 array

The CLARiiON CX300 and CX500 arrays have two SAN ports per SP. Both ports of
both SPs must be connected to the switch or switches. These connections carry all of
the traffic to the array.
If you are using two switches to connect a CLARiiON CX300 or CX500 array, connect
the cables (Figure 159):

1. Connect SP A port FE 0 to switch A.
2. Connect SP B port FE 0 to switch B.
3. Connect SP A port FE 1 to switch B.
4. Connect SP B port FE 1 to switch A.
5. Record which SP ports you connected to which switch ports using the "FC/FCoE
cabling worksheet" on page 273.
Note: If you did not use the default SP and FC switch cabling, you must manually select the FC
switch ports the CLARiiON array will use in "Step 2: Install latest File OE on CS 0" on
page 139.
