4. Enter a value in the Host Name field for the port. This value is an alias that
identifies the port in the management software. The suggested name is
<servername>_<datamover>_<port>. For example, if your Control Station is named
csdev8, then the Host Name for port 0 on blade 2 would be csdev8_server2_0. Fill
in the other fields as follows:
Initiator Type: CLARiiON Open
Array Comm Path: clear checkbox
Failover Mode: 0
Unit Serial Number: Array
Vendor: VNX
Model: VG2

Each pair of initiator records for a given blade port must have a unique value for
IP Address. Use the primary private IP address of the blade for BE 0 records and
the secondary private IP address for the BE 1 records. The default private IP
addresses are shown in
Note: If the default addresses are already used in some other initiator records, change the
subnet addresses.
Table 18
shows the default private IP addresses for the blades.
If you have to change the private IP addresses of the blades because of a conflict
with the customer's network, use the new addresses that you select for the blades.
Note: Fresh installs of NAS software will change the private LAN addresses. Software
upgrades will not.

5. Repeat the previous two steps to register the other blade ports. Be sure to give
each port's record a unique name; pairs of records for the same blade port can
have the same name.
6. Close the dialog boxes to return to the main Navisphere page.
