Connect the Remove the left side cover (page 2-3).

Disconnect the ignition pulse generator wire connector
terminal.

Connect the positive terminal first and then the negative
terminal.
Connect the battery to the ignition pulse generator wire
connector and body ground.
CONNECTION:
Blue/Yellow wire terminal (+)
Body ground (-)
Complete each Turn the ignition switch "ON", the tachometer should
step within 8 indicate the 1,000 r/min.
seconds.
Complete each Turn the throttle grip to the fully opened position, the
step within 8 tachometer should indicate the 2,000 r/min.
seconds.
Complete each Turn the throttle grip to the fully closed position, the
step within 8 tachometer should indicate the 3,000 r/min.
seconds.
