FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Tighten the fork socket bolt to the specified torque.
If the fork piston
turns with the
TORQUE: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 15 lbf·ft)
socket bolt, tem-
porarily install
the fork spring,
spring seat,
spring collar and
fork bolt.
Drive the oil seal until the stopper ring groove is visible
using the special tools.
TOOLS:
Fork seal driver
Fork seal driver attachment
Install the stopper ring into the groove of the fork slider
securely.
Apply fork fluid to a new dust seal lips.
Install the dust seal.
Pour the specified amount of recommended fork fluid into
the fork pipe.
RECOMMENDED FORK FLUID:
Honda ULTRA CUSHION OIL No. 10 or equivalent
FORK FLUID CAPACITY:
310 ± 2.5 cm
Slowly pump the fork pipe several times to remove any
trapped air from the lower portion of the fork pipe.
Compress the fork pipe fully and measure the fluid level
from the top of the fork pipe.
FLUID LEVEL: 144 mm (5.66 in)
