Problem

condition on (audible alarms
work and alarm message is
visible)
Alarm light does not illuminate
during power-on self test.
Alphanumeric Keyboard and barcode scanner issues
Problem
Wrong character is displayed
when a key is pressed on
keyboard.
Possible cause
Touchscreen not calibrated.
Touchscreen cable loose
Faulty touchscreen sensor.
Possible cause
UI cable loose or faulty.
UI board faulty.
Trim Knob cable loose.
Trim Knob encoder faulty.
Keypad is faulty
User interface board is faulty.
Alarm light cable is loose
Alarm light board or alarm light
cable is faulty.
"Warm start"
Possible cause
The keyboard locale is not
configured correctly.
Recommended actions
Calibrate touchscreen, see section "7.1.2".
Connect touchscreen cable to the user
interface board.
Replace the front unit assembly.
Recommended action
Check user interface cable and replace it,
if necessary.
Replace the user interface board.
Connect Trim Knob encoder cable to the
user interface board.
Replace the Trim Knob encoder.
Replace keypad.
Replace the user interface board.
Connect the alarm light cable to the user
interface board.
Replace the front unit assembly.
It is less than 15 minutes since the last
power-up (warm start) and this normal
operation.
The alarm light illuminates during the
power-on self test only if it is a cold start
(more than 15 minutes from the previous
start-up).
Recommended action
Configure the keyboard locale correctly,
see "7.9".
