To select the Local Management Interface (LMI) type, use the frame-relay lmi-type command in interface
configuration mode. To restore the default setting, use the no form of this command.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes appropriate task
IDs. If the user group assignment is preventing you from using a command, contact your AAA administrator
for assistance.
If the DTE is not explicitly configured or the no form is not used after explicit configuration, then the DTE
automatically senses the LMI type of the DCE and use that type of LMI.
This frame-relay lmi-type command is available on Packet-over-SONET/SDH (POS), serial, and multilink
interfaces.
